i change

The best ideas are the simplest: 'The world around us mirrors our inner worlds'. Paula Pluck takes this basic principle and with the utmost clarity gives us forty practical things we can do to make sure that the peace we find deep inside ourselves filters out towards our loved ones, our families, our community and helps us all contribute to a new global togetherness.

You don't need to be a profound spiritual thinker or new-age guru to follow Paula's ideas. IF I CHANGE, SO CAN THE WORLD.... will help you to:

  • Establish an inner peace through simple routines of relaxation and meditation.
  • Redesign your life to make space for the real you.
  • Develop your own transformational style and take your friends, family and community along with you.
  • Review the blueprints of your existence. Be true to yourself and watch the world create its own happiness from the seeds you sow!

Paula Pluck has a background in consultancy, specializing in personal and organisational development. She has spent the last four years on the beautiful Isle of Man embracing her spirituality and transforming her life. In If I Change, So Can The World! she provides the practical exercises that helped her make the changes she needed. Paula now lives in Hove, Sussex, with her family.

REVIEWS:

This short 64-page book is packed with spiritual dynamite. The author has divided the work into four sections, each containing ten steps. By following these steps we should reconnect to our intuitive self and thus help to make the world a better place to live in, by the way we think, act and speak. One is not only fun - it is power. Each step contains some practical suggestions. Tus, step 7, entitled 'All you have to do is smile', presents us with a Taoist breathing exercise. Step 19, entitled 'Connect with the beauty all around you' has a focus for meditation (a rose).
The book is full of attractive illustrations and quotes. Gandhi, Thoreau and White Eagle are but three of the spiritual luminaries cited.
A handy, easy to pack volume designed to help us to be good to each other and the planet. Irresistible!

Conscious Choice

'If I change so can the world' promotes true harmony, self-realisation and personal happiness. As a yoga teacher I find the dip-in style provided from the forty steps excellent. It is packed with beautiful meditations and visualisations to balance and calm the mind. My students enjoy these for the relaxation periods at the end of our class. I have also started using some of the others steps for readings and contemplation again with similar success. One of the best things Paula Pluck has achieved with this little pocket-size book, is it is accessible to all sharing down to earth spirituality.

Spiritual Forum

Forty positive steps to find peace within through simple routines of relaxation and meditation, and hence to bring that peace to the outer world.

Yoga and Health

Rooted in the belief that 'our personal change can affect the transformation of the world', this book offers a practical guide to effecting that personal change. Paula Pluck draws on her professional experience 'offering a practical approach to change management in the workplace' to combine the ideas from a number of teachers, philosophers and experts, with her own, often heartrending, personal experiences; the result is an immediately direct and accessible book that is wonderfully free of jargon, and can be dipped into for inspiration and advice, or used in a more structured way as a genuine and powerful aid to personal change.

Presented as a journey of forty steps, 'symbolic of the number of weeks it takes to give birth to the miracle of a new life', Paula begins by addressing the simple thoughts and habits which outwardly 'define' us and moves through a series of practical exercises such as relaxation, meditation and visualisation. These allow the reader to apply the book's message directly to their own experience, and are helpfully illustrated throughout with simple line drawings that beautifully reflect the clarity of vision that the book expresses.

This clarity and accessibility make the book ideal for the 'spiritual beginner' yet it also has enough depth to engage those already on the path to self-transformation.
